F-4B Phantom II

Tamiya 1/32 F-4B Phantom II Build Review

By Eli Raphael

Backdated Tamiya 1/32 F-4J Phantom II into VF-111 F-4B:

  • Used the CAM wings
  • The thin “B” tires were not included so I had to scratch build them, using 2 “J” ones, cutting them in half
  • Decals were also from CAM, missing were the crew and ship’s name, needing to make my own
  • Phantom depicts Lt. Gary Weigand & Lt. (JG) Bill Freckleton Mig-17 killing mission on Mar 6,1972
