If you are like me, you probably have mixed results using water slide type decals on your models. Gloss coating, using Future, decal solvents and then dull coat to make the carrier film disappear has not always been too successful for me.

Archer Dry Transfers to the rescue. Dry transfer, for those of you that are uninitiated, are rub on type decals. No water is needed as these self-adhere when burnished down with a blunt pointed tool or a ball point pen. The look absolutely painted on afterwards and there is no carrier film, like associated with most water-slide type decals found in most kits. There is also no need for the wetting agents and decal solvents for these also.

Archer transfers are very well done. Multiple colors are always in register I have found. There is a vast variety of markings for armor subjects to be found in the Archer offerings and his line of transfers subjects is constantly growing.

AFTThis particular sheet is a MUST for armor modelers. These tactical symbols almost always appeared on the front and rear of German armor and soft-skin vehicles. The sheet has no less than 76 different tactical symbols on it (2 of each) in white. These symbols were designed after the symbols used on military German maps. They were almost always applied in white, but red, yellow and black were also used over winter camouflage.

Woody Vondracek of Archer Fine Transfers was kind enough to send me a review sample of his sheet of these markings in white. Archer also does the same ones in black, red and yellow too by the way.

Highly recommended.

I sincerely want to thank Archer Fine Decals for this review sample
