CAM Decals has changed owners, and the decal line is not only
intact, it continues to expand. They were present at the 2006 IPMS
National Convention to showcase their latest releases.
In this release, CAM Decals has produced a pair of F-4S Phantom
IIs for the Hasegawa kit. What's nice is that they've produced
this set in 1/72 and 1/32 as well. Converting the Tamiya 1/32 F-4J
into an S has been tempting and is now easier with a set of markings
to make it happen.
The two aircraft presented in this decal set are:
- F-4S, BuNo 153832, VF-302, ND/200, NAS Miramar, 1981
- F-4S, BuNo 153858, VF-161, NF/103, USS Midway, 1982
As you can see in the decal layout, this set provides the essential
maintenance stencils and maintenance walkways in addition to the
national markings and distinctive unit markings. In fact, CAM Decals
provide sufficient markings for two complete aircraft.
Time to dust off that Hasegawa 1/48 F-4S kit. This set is definitely recommended for the Phantom phan!
