CAM Decals has changed owners, and the decal line is not only
intact, it continues to expand. This is one of the 'Pro Series'
which has been developed by the new ownership.
In this release, CAM Decals has produced a very nice set of markings
for a pair of interesting A-7E Corsair IIs from VA-12 and VA-147,
plus the famous VA-72 CAG aircraft as it appeared at the end of
Operation Desert Stortm. The aircraft in question are:
- A-7E, 160552, VA-72 Blue Hawks, AC/400, USS John F. Kennedy,
1991 'Desert Storm'
- A-7E, 153830, VA-147 Argonauts, NG/401, USS
Kitty Hawk, 1987
- A-7E, 158835, VA-12 Clinchers, AG/414, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower,
1985
As you can see in the decal layout, this set doesn't waste any
space and provides all of the distinctive markings, national markings,
and many of the more visible maintenance stencils and warning markings
for two aircraft.
Time to dust off those Hasegawa 1/48
A-7E kits. This set is definitely recommended.
