F/A-18A Hornet

CAM Decals has changed owners, and the decal line is not only intact, it continues to expand. This is one of the 'Pro Series' which has been developed by the new ownership.

In this release, CAM Decals has produced markings for three distinctive US Navy F/A-18A Hornets for the Hasegawa or Monogram kits. The three aircraft presented in this decal set are:

• F/A-18A, 162860, VFA-27 Royal Maces, NL/401, USS Kitty Hawk, 1993
• F/A-18A, 162909, VFA-132 Privateers, AE/306, USS Forrestal, 1990
• F/A-18A, 162841, VFA-137 Kestrals, AK/400, CAG aircraft, USS Coral Sea, 1990

As you can see in the decal layout, this set doesn't waste any space and has sufficient national markings and major stencils for all three aircraft, just the walkways are sufficient for two.

Time to dust off those Hasegawa and Monogram 1/48 Hornet kits. This set is definitely recommended for the modeler wanting to capture the look of the early F/A-18A Hornets circa Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
