The folks at Cutting Edge Modelworls continue to turn out great
aftermarket decals with some of the best instructions/color profiles
on the market. In this set, we have two distinctive P-51Ds
of flown by two notable aces.
The two aircraft covered in this set are:
- P-51D-20-NA, 44-63607, 353 FS/354 FG, as flown by Lt. Col.
Glenn Eagleston, 1945
- P-51D-20-NA, 44-14292, 355 FG Commander, as flown by Colonel
Clairborne H. 'Zoot' Kinnard Jr, 1945
Eagleston's aircraft carries the distinctive large Eagle on the
nose of his aircraft, just ahead of the kill tally board. Kinnard's
aircraft still wears the post-D-Day invasion stripes and features
an interesting OD-Green over bare metal 'camo' scheme.
This set provides a colorful alternative to the kit markings in
the Dragon or Hasegawa P-51D kit and will definitely
look great on the contest table!
Highly recommended!
My sincere thanks to Meteor Productions for this review sample!
