The folks at Cutting Edge Modelworls continue to turn out great
aftermarket decals with some of the best instructions/color profiles
on the market. In this set, we have two distinctive P-51Ds
of flown by two notable aces.
The two aircraft covered in this set are:
- P-51D-10-NA, 44-14450, 362 FS/357 FG, B6-S, 'Old Crow' as flown
by Captain Clarence 'Bud' Anderson, 1944
- P-51D-15-NA, 44-143318, 364 FS/357 FG, C5-N, 'Frenesi' as flown
by Lt Hom Hayes
These two schemes are popular subjects for Mustang builders and
now Cutting Edge has not only produced these for you in 1/32 scale,
they've tailored them for both the Hasegawa and DML Mustang kits.
You'll note the checkerboard nosebands? There are two different
sets provided for each subject, one that will fit the Hasegawa
nose profile, the other for the DML (since the noses are a bit
different between the two kits). One set of extensive maintenance
stencils is also provided on a second decal sheet.
This set provides two nice camouflaged Mustangs for those who
are still a little gun shy about doing bare metal aircraft.
