Here is the latest release from Impact Decals! This set
provides an interesting slice in time for the aircraft operated
by the Playboys as VMCJ-2 and later as VMAQ-2.
The set starts with
an RF-4B Phantom II as it appeared at Cherry Point, though
the Playboys took this aircraft to Vietnam as well. Also from
that same period of time is the two-seat jammer EA-6A Intruder..
The remaining three aircraft are EA-6B Prowlers at three different
points in time after the squadron was redesignated as VMAQ-2.
The five aircraft are:
- RF-4B, 157344, CY/02, VMCJ-2, MCAS Cherry Point, 1975
- EA-6A, 156987, CY/16, VMCJ-2, MCAS Cherry Point, 1975
- EA-6B, 159907, CY/01, VMAQ-2, ICAP-1, MCAS Cherry Point,
1982
- EA-6B, 158040, CY/01, VMAQ-2, ICAP-2, MCAS Cherry Point,
1992
- EA-6B, 163031, CY/01, VMAQ-2, ICAP-2, MCAS Cherry Point,
1993
As with their first release, this is another well-done set
of decals and once again developed by decal airtist Jack Morris,
you can see his logo on the sheet. You can see in these images
that these beautifully printeddecals are nicely
registered and single-layered. Kudos to Jack and to Impact
Decals for this excellent work.
Impact Decals can be purchased directly from their website
at www.impacthobbydecals.com.
Highly recommended!
My sincere thanks to Impact Decals
for this review sample!
