Leading Edge has released another sheet for the Heller 1/72
CL-415 fire bomber. This set is for one of two Province of
Ontario fire bombers: C-GOGW/275 and C-GOGX/276. Markings are
provided to do either aircraft, with all of the stripes, stencils
and markings included.
One exception though is aircraft 275.
Decals are provided for the leading edge deicing boots, and
in the case of 276, these include five bands of international
orange. 275 didn't have these bands, so you'll either have
to paint over the bands or paint your own leading edge boots
for the outboard wing sections.
This is a nice looking aircraft which, for some unknown reason,
has not been adopted by the US fire fighting services. Nevertheless,
here is your chance to build up a colorful example from up
north!
