F/A-18D Hornet

MAW-Decals is a decal company that is well-placed well-placed to get quality information - near Camp Lejuene, NC. MAW (for Marine Air Wing) is affiliated with VF Decals (VF - Navy Fighter Squadron).

In this release, they've tackled five F/A-18D Night Attack Hornets from four USMC squadrons, each offering some colorful and/or distinctive markings for the Hasegawa 1/72 F/A-18D Hornet.

The five aircraft covered in this set are :

• F/A-18D, 164685, VMFA(AW)-121 'Green Knights', VK/01, October 2004
• F/A-18D, 164959, VMFA(AW)-533 'Hawks', ED/01, OIF April 2004
• F/A-18D, 164874, VMFA(AW)-533 'Hawks', ED/05, OIF
• F/A-18D, 164959, VMFA(AW)-332 Moonlighters', EA/09, OAF

The decal printing is crisp and colorful and also includes one set of maintenance stencils. The instructions are printed in full color. Two of the subjects in this sheet were released in the 1/48 edition of this decal sheet, while the remaining three are new subjects. This set also includes a nice external stores loadout chart for the F/A-18C/D.
