Mike Grant is an entrepreneur in the true tradition of say Mike
West of Lone Star Models or Bob Sanchez at TwoBob Decals. He is
a one man band doing it all himself. Mike will do his best to get
you what you want as fast as he can but ask you to remember, he
is the one and only employee of Mike Grant Decals.
The cockpit Details are suitable for Jet and WW2 dials along with
data plate placards. The backings of the placards are even silver.
This is rare in the decal industry. They look like they are ALPS
printed and are a tad on the gentle side and could use a coat of
decal film or Future to act as a barrier as recommended in the
instructions. The dials and placards are printed on a large decal
film so the dials must be punched out or trimmed off the carrier.
They are printed on a white background so you can put them on an
instrument panel. They come in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale.
These decals can compare with the big dogs in quality and accuracy.
I highly recommend these decals but you have to remember that Mike
does what he can when he can. If you are looking for a same day
turnaround or overnight delivery, you will be disappointed but
I will tell you that every day you wait is well worth every minute.
Because of his short run and that these sheets are not produced
by the thousands, the price is a bit higher than say, SuperScale.
Again, I say, worth every penny. Right now you can only get the
decals at Mike’s website. And as of this writing, he does
accept PayPal payment.
If you want to visit Mike, just go to www.mikegrantdecals.com and
check out his different offerings.
