Here's a new hobby company entering the market and their first product online is this 6"x9" sheet of World War I 5-Color Lozenge Night Camouflage. This offering is targeted primarily to the recent Roden 1/72 Staaken kit (though this will work fine with the Contrail kit as well). Needless to say, as impressive as the Roden kit is out of the box, trying to replicate that night camouflage would be quite a challenge.
Orion Miniatures has saved you lots of time and grief with their well-researched colors and, working closely with Microscale, were able to replicate those colors here with even an application of 1/72 scale color shading correction applied. Nice touch!
Look for Orion Miniatures to expand their Lozenge coverage in the future as well as an interesting kit of the 1/48 scale DH 89A Dragon Rapide. You can read more about this upcoming kit here.
If Orion's future offerings look as good as this first decal sheet, we'll be seeing lots of good stuff from this new company in the future.
Definitely recommended!
My sincere thanks to Orion Miniatures for this review sample.
