This set from TwoBobs Aviation Graphics covers two Aggressor
Vipers out of the 57th Wing at Nellis AFB, NV. These aircraft
are painted in adversary colors to give pilots a look at the
camo against a variety of terrain features during mock aerial
combat.
One aircraft is wearing typical MiG-23 Flogger colors, the
other is in Su-27 Flanker colors. Both aircraft are GE-powered
Block 30 Vipers.
Markings are provided for two aircraft:
- F-16C-30E-CF, 86-0321, Red 21, 414 CTS/57 FWW
- F-16C-30D-CF, 86-0267, Red 67, 414 CTS/57 FWW
National markings and basic stencils are provided for two aircraft.
Building either of these aircraft will require the Hasegawa 1/32
F-16C kit with the widemouth intake and GE nozzle. Seamless
intakes and nozzles are available from Cutting Edge.
For those of you looking for a different paint scheme for your
Academy 1/32 F-16, don't wander off yet. I was rummaging
through the photo files on the USAF website and spotted this
Viper Aggressor. If you look close, you'll see it is a Block
42 Viper in interesting colors. You can adapt these decals
to render this aircraft if you're wanting to build the Academy
kit out of the box.
Tamiya Block 50 kit owners would need the
narrow-mouth intake, Pratt exhaust nozzle and the Block 40/42
HUD to get the same aircraft. The intakes and nozzles are
available from Cutting Edge.
The printing of these decals is perfectly in register. The
instructions are printed double-sided in color, providing excellent
color scheme as well as decal placement information.
