Here is one of the latest releases from Twobobs Aviation Graphics. This set
covers two distinctive F-4E Phantom IIs. Complete markings and stenciling are also
provided for one aircraft.
One of these aircraft, 68-339, was the fast-FAC callsign Chico in early
1972. When performing this mission, 339 was the only USAF Phantom to be
configured with SUU-23 gunpods on the outboard pylons, USN Rockeyes on the
inboard pylons, a 600 gallon gas bag on the centerline, and an ALQ-87 pod
up in the forward right Sparrow missile well.
This set provides markings for the following two aircraft:
- F-4E, 68-339, 421 TFS/432 TRW, LC, as flown by Colonel J.D. Pewitt
- F-4E, 68-551, 469 TFS/388 TFW, JV, as flown by Lts Lohn Dallager & Don Logan
The printing is perfectly in register. The instructions are printed
double-sided in color, providing excellent color scheme as well
as decal placement information.
There are very few decal sheets that I'd suggest stocking up on, but
if you're modeling more than one 1/32 modern fighter in your future,
you're going to want to get several of these sheets! Highly recommended!
