TwoBobs has turned out another interesting set of markings, this time for a really colorful F-16C Block 30 from the Colorado ANG. Check out the profile to see what I mean!

The aircraft was painted an overall silver (not a polished metal look) and received the bright red FS 31136 accents around the airframe. While decals are provided for many of the red sections, you'll still have to paint the dorsal spine, belly stripe, and vertical stab. More experienced painters will just use the red decals for mask templates and paint all of the red sections to achieve a consistent look.

This decal set is presented on three decal sheets. Since the aircraft is a Block 30, any of the current 1/32 scale kits will need to be modified to do this aircraft. This was a GE-powered airframe that did have the wide mouth (MCIP) intake. For the Hasegawa 1/32 F-16A+/C kit, you can simply replace the intake with a Cutting Edge MCIP intake and you're there. For the Tamiya 1/32 F-16C Block 32, you'll need both the MCIP intake and the GE exhaust nozzle (the Hasegawa kit has a usable GE nozzle). The Academy kit has the proper intake and nozzle, but the landing lights will need to be relocated to the main gear, the buldged main gear doors will need to be backdated to the flat doors, and a few other minor details. If you have the Tamiya 1/32 F-16CJ Block 52, you're going to need lots of parts.
