TwoBobs Decals has returned with an interesting release covering
the Hiko Kyodo-tai F-15 Aggressor squadron for the JASDF. They
used to be the only all-F-15 Aggressor squadron in the world,
though the 65th Aggressor Squadron was recently reactivated
at Nellis AFB and is also flying the F-15 Aggressor role to
supplement the 64th's Vipers.
This set provides national markings and stencils enough for
one aircraft, and if you think there are a lot of stencils
there, look here at some real examples of these aircraft and
they're indeed heavily stenciled. Twobobs has captured that
look nicely.
This sheet has color profiles for two aircraft, but provides
numbering to replicate any of the JASDF aggressor Eagles. The
two aircraft featured in the profiles are:
- F-15J, 82-8065
- F-15J, 82-8063
This decal set is presented on two decal sheets and the first
sheet is nicely printed and in register. The only problem I
spotted, and I assume this is an anomoly with my sample, is
with the registration of the serial numbers. The black numbers
should be centered on the silver backgrounds rather than shifted
down and to the left.
