TwoBobs has has returned with the MiG-29 aggressor gray scheme
worn by VFC-12 'Fighting Omars'. If we dial back to an earlier
release, Twobobs previously produced the Fighting Omars' Hornets
in Flanker Blue and Desert Brown schemes. This set captures
the wraparound gray scheme stat still replicates the MiG-29
look with the angled tails, dorsal intake louvers, and large
radome.
The aircraft covered in this set are:
- F/A-18B, 161924, VFC-12, AF/15
- F/A-18A, 162869, VFC-12, AF/02
I love these Navy aggressor schemes as they've captured the
look of the adversary aircraft when all you're getting is quick
glimpses in the dogfight. I've mentioned before how my first
exposure to one of these paint schemes was at Nellis AFB while
heading to the Weapons School and as I glanced up into the
traffic pattern, there was a MiG-17 entering the break. On
closer inspection with the changing sun angles, it was soon
obvious that it was an A-4 wearing the silhouette and colors
of the MiG. This set replicates the look of the MiG-29 from
top and bottom as well as from the sides and will look quite
nice on the contest table!
This set is highly recommended!
