The nice thing about getting a new Viper in 1/32 scale is
the new round of decals that come with it in other scales.
Here is a new sheet from TwoBobs that was released in time
for the 1/32 Academy F-16CG/CJ Block 40/50 kit, but was
also released in 1/48 to support the Hasegawa Block 40 Viper
as well.
In this set, we have three 23rd Fighter Wing Vipers that carry
the Flying Tiger tradition of the sharkmouth and wear the
FT tailcode. These aircraft, all stationed at Pope AFB, NC,
are big-mouth, GE-powered Block 40 Vipers. The first aircraft
is the 74th FS Commander's aircraft, the second is a line aircraft
from the 74th, while the third is an F-16D assigned to the
23rd Wing's Commander.
The three aircraft in this set are:
- F-16CG Block 40, 90-0776, 74 FS/23 FW, Squadron Commander's
aircraft, 1994
- F-16CG Block 40, 88-0516, 74 FS/23 FW, 1994
- F-16DG Block 40, 88-0170, 23 FW, Wing Commander's aircraft,
1994
Maintenance stencils and sharkmouths are provided for two
aircraft.
If you're going to be adding one or more of these beautiful
Hasegawa Vipers to your scale flightline, then you'll
definitely want to get this set as well! This set is highly
recommended!
