F/A-18C 'Blue By You' Hornets

TwoBobs has released an interesting new set for the Hasegawa or Revell-Monogram F/A-18C Hornet. These "Blue By You" Hornets are a bad pun for Blue Bajou, but if you're a C-130 type getting intercepted by Hornets (and I have), then the correct title is "Blew By You".

This set covers the blue-tailed CAG aircraft from VFA-113's cruise aboard the USS John Stennis last year, and the other blue-tailed CAG aircraft from VFA-83's cruise on the USS John F Kennedy. Both Hornets have very colorful markings on their tails and interesting nose art as well. The specific aircraft are:

• F/A-18C, 164201, AA/300, USS John F Kennedy, 2004, CAG
• F/A-18C, 164682, NK/300, USS John Stennis, 2004, CAG

The decal set comes on three sheets, with most of the markings on the larger primary sheet. The second sheet has the LEX walkways and VFA-83 Rampagers markings. The last sheet has the distinctive 'Stingers' logos for the external fuel tanks. While variations in maintenance stenciling is nicely covered, there are enough maintenance stencils for one complete aircraft.

The printing is perfectly in register. The instructions are printed double-sided in color, providing excellent color scheme as well as decal placement information. Highly recommended!
