TwoBobs has released an interesting new set for the Hasegawa
1/48 A-4M Skyhawk. These are three typical line aircraft from
VMAT-102 Skyhawks, VMA-322 Fighting Gamecocks, and VMA-311
Tomcats. The aircraft are all painted in low visibility gray
schemes with subdued markings.
This decal set comes in handy as you can build one of these
aircraft as they appeared late in their careers and won't look
like something straight from the box! The three aircraft represented
are:
- A-4M, 158184, SC/00, VMAT-102, Aug 1983
- A-4M, 158161, QR/50, VMA-322, Sep 1985
- A-4M, 158155, WL/03, VMA-311, Apr 1985
The printing is perfectly in register. The instructions are
printed double-sided in color, providing excellent color scheme
as well as decal placement information.
While maintenance stenciling was likely at a minimum with
these paint schemes, TwoBobs provides enough markings to build
three complete aircraft.
