TwoBobs has released a most ineresting decal set from the 2005 Tiger Meet of the Americas (TMOTA). This release covers one of the first truly colorful F-15E Strike Eagles I've seen to date. This mudhen hails from the 391st FS/366th FW from Mountain Home AFB, ID.

The aircraft covered in this set is:

  • F-15E, 90-0250, MO, 391 FS/366 FW, TMOTA, Oct 2005

This aircraft wears the tiger stripes on its vertical stabilizers, the conformal fuel tanks, and the upper surfaces of the horizontal stabs, flaps, and ailerons. The flap graphics are even more interesting as the paint shop clearly was having fun with this paint job. The tiger stripes also include the silhouette of a shapely female on one side and the classic Playboy bunny head on the other.

The nose wears a very nice set of tigers heads on either side and the inside of the speed board has a colorful logo inside. The printing of these decals is their usual excellent quality, with all of the complex markings in perfect register.

F-15E F-15E

The decal set comes on three sheets, providing all of the distinctive unit markings, national markings, a very complete set of maintenance stencils, and all of the artwork for the TMOTA scheme.

If you're looking for a nice color scheme to brighten up that otherwise Gunship Gray Strike Eagle, your wait is over. While the instructions don't reflect which kit these decals were developed for, they do indicate that you should be able to use the Revell, Hasegawa or Academy kits with these markings.

Definitely recommended!

My sincere thanks to TwoBobs Aviation Graphics for this review sample!
