Here is one of the latest releases from Twobobs Aviation Graphics. This set
covers two distinctive F-4E Phantom IIs, and despite the title, an F-105G
Wild Weasel Thunderchief as well. Complete markings and stenciling are also
provided for all three aircraft.
One of these aircraft, 68-339, was the fast-FAC callsign Chico in early
1972. When performing this mission, 339 was the only USAF Phantom to be
configured with SUU-23 gunpods on the outboard pylons, USN Rockeyes on the
inboard pylons, a 600 gallon gas bag on the centerline, and an ALQ-87 pod
up in the forward right Sparrow missile well.
This set provides markings for the following three aircraft:
- F-4E, 68-339, 421 TFS/432 TRW, LC, as flown by Colonel J.D. Pewitt
- F-4E, 68-551, 469 TFS/388 TFW, JV, as flown by Lts Lohn Dallager & Don Logan
- F-105G, 62-440, 17 WWS/388 TFW, JB, Korat RTAFB, Jun 1972
The printing is perfectly in register. The instructions are printed double-sided in
color, providing excellent color scheme as well as decal placement information.
