TwoBobs has turned out another interesting set of markings, this
time for the F-22A. This release in 1/72 scale is intended for
Italeri/Revell 1/72 F-22A Raptor kits.
The markings in this set are for three Raptors from the First
Fighter Wing (Tailcode FF) from Langley AFB, Virginia. Langley
is also former home of Tactical Air Command and the current home
of Air Combat Command. The three F-22As represent a boss bird plus
examples from the two squadrons that have transitioned to the type
(the third hung onto their Eagles a little longer). These aircraft
are:
- F-22A, 03-041, 1 FW Wing Cdr's aircraft
- F-22A, 03-044, 27 FS/1 FW
- F-22A, 04-068, 94 FS/1 FW
This set provides all of the markings and stenciling for three
full aircraft on one decal sheet. The instructions have a nice
set of color profiles and colors identified to replicate the rather
unusual camouflage scheme worn by the aircraft.
Definitely recommended!
