Here is another interesting decal sheet from Three Guys Replicas (TGR). This set covers one
captured Bf 109E-3 that was passed between the French, the RAF, and then finally to the
USAAF. Four different sets of markings for one machine! The fifth aircraft is an He 111H-23
bomber that was turned into the squadron hack for the 56th Fighter Group and wore the colors
and markings of the 61st Fighter Squadron. The markings are allocated as:
- Bf 109E-3, WrNr 1304, French AF, Orleans-Bricy, 1939-40
- Bf 109E-3, WrNr 1304, RAF, Boscombe Down, 1940
- Bf 109E-3, WrNr 1304, RAF, Farnborough, 1940
- Bf 109E-3, WrNr 1304, USAAF, Wright Field, 1942
- He 111H-23, 56 GF, HV-COW, Boxted, 1945
The instructions include some nice backround and color information,
including top and left profiles of both aircraft. The decal sheet
includes markings for five complete aircraft. The decal
printing is perfectly in register.
