The folks at Yellowhammer Models continue to turn out great aftermarket
decals with some of the best instructions/color profiles on the
market. This set starts off a new series denoting the decommissioning
of the F-14 Tomcat from USN service.
In this first installment, we have two colorful F-14Ds from VF-213
in their 'final flight' schemes. These were displayed on 10 March
2006 at NAS Oceana as the squadron begins its transition into the
Super Hornet.
Markings are provided for two aircraft:
- F-14D, BuNo 164347, VF-213, AJ/200
- F-14D, BuNo 164602, VF-213, AJ/213
The decals are very nicely printed and perfectly in register.
The decal set also includes a set of Black Magic Masks to help
paint the two-tone blue 'anti-glare' panel on the CAG aircraft
as you can see in the supplemental instructionsl above.
Definitely recommended!
My sincere thanks to Meteor Productions for this review sample!
