Yellow Wings Decals has released another colorful for the Accurate Miniatures or Hasegawa 1/48 SBD-1 and SBD-2 kits. This sheet provides all of the markings you'll need to complete four different aircraft. For those who don't want to mix and match decals out of the different Yellow Wings Decals line, this time, all of the markings you'll need are in one package.

The markings in this set cover the following examples:

• SBD-2, BuNo 2103, VS-6, 6-S-1, USS Enterprise, 1941, Sqn Cdr's aircraft
• SBD-2, BuNo 2130, VS-2, 2-S-7, USS Lexington, 1941, Section Three leader's aircraft
• SBD-1, BuNo 1752, VMJ-1, 2-MJ-1, Pearl Harbor, 1940, Sqn Cdr's aircraft
• SBD-1, BuNo 1738, VMB-2, 2-MB-10, San Diego, 1940, Section Four leader's aircraft

The set also includes several profiles and documentation to help you replicate the proper placement of aircraft's markings to render an accurate model.

On the plus side of this set, you have all of the markings you need to render all four of these aircraft. On the down side, you are limited to the four offered in this set. One of the hallmarks of Yellow-Wings Decals is that when you get the national markings in one set, the section markings in another set, and the unit markings in a separate set, Yellow Wings gives you the markings to render any or ALL of the aircraft of that squadron (or squadrons, depending on the set). The choice is yours, but either way, these decals are a nice step up from the kit decals.
