Zotz has released part two of their International
Viper series in 1/32 for the Academy, Hasegawa,
and Tamiya 1/32 F-16 kits. This set contains four
sheets of decals to replicate a variety of Vipers.
The Academy kit in particular will benefit from this set
as it includes parts for the parabrake housing at the
base of the tail which some of the aircraft profiled
in these decals feature.
This decal set provides markings for a wide variety
of Vipers, including:
- Netherlands
- F-16AM (MLU) 322 Sqn
- F-16AM (MLU) 323 Sqn including a recent "Dirty Diana"
- Jordan
- Thailand
- F-16A ADF, 102 Sqn
- F-16A/B, 103 Sqn
- F-16A/B, 403 Sqn
- Norway
- F-16A/AM, 331 Sqn
- F-16A/AM, 332 Sqn
- F-16A/AM, 334 Sqn

- F-16C/D B52, 140 Sqn
- F-16C/D B52, 143 Sqn
- F-16C/D B52, 145 Sqn
- F-16C/D B52, 425 FS, Luke AFB
- F-16C/D B52, 428 FS, Cannon AFB
- Norway
- F-16B, 331 Sqn
- F-16B, 332 Sqn
- F-16B, 338 Sqn
- Italy
- F-16A ADF, 5 Wing
- F-16A ADF, 37 Wing
The first two sheets of decals contain the bulk
of the national and distinctive markings. The second
pair of sheets provide the tail numbers and identification
markings in black and gray. The remaining small sheets
provide addition markings and the colorful tail air of
Diana.
There are some interesting color choices with these
decals. You can see from the profiles that there are
a number of different camouflage schemes in use besides
the 'standard' USAF pattern If you're looking for an
eye-catching Viper that will stand out on the contest
table, this is the set you've been waiting for. This
set is highly recommended!
My sincere thanks to Zotz for
this review sample! These are also available in 1/48
and 1/72 scale.
