F-14B Tomcat VF-103 Jolly Rogers

The latest new decal set from Zotz pays tribute to the final days of the F-14 Tomcat's career. In this decal set, Zots has provided some in-depth markings to render one of two F-14B (Upgrade) Tomcats from VF-103. One aircraft is MODEX 105, the other is the CAG's mount, MODEX 103. 103 is actually rendered twice, same aircraft at two different times. The particulars are:

The CAG's aircraft has commemorative text around the squadron's classic 'skull and crossbones'. In 2003 was the recogniztion of 60 years of the Jolly Rogers across many squadrons: VF-17, VF-58, VF-61, VF-84, and VF-103. In 2004, the tail text was revised to read 'Final Tomcat Cruise'. This set even provides the artwork for the back of the helmets for both crews.

As you can see, this set will really dress up the Tamiya 1/32 Tomcat. You'll need to acquire a few aftermarket detail sets to update the Tamiya kit to the F-14B configuration, then you'll need to upgrade that update to add GPS, a laser designator pod, etc. Check your references.
