AC-47D Spooky Gunship

Zotz Decals is back with another interesting release, this time covering the recent Monogram 1/48 AC-47D Spooky Gunship release. The kit decals are not bad, but as every AMS modeler knows, you don't want to build a model that is going to look like everyone else's build. Zotz Decals to the rescue.

This set provides markings for five Gunship I C-47s with an interesting cross-section of paint and armament configurations reflecting the success that the first FC-47D Spooky gunships had in-theater resulting in a rush program to modify additional gunships and get them into the action as quicky as possible. In addition, this set also provides the markings for one AC-47D that was provided to the El Salvador Air Force for counter-insurgency (COIN) missions. The six aircraft presented in this decal set are:

As you can see in the images below, the decals come on two sheets. There are sufficient markings and stencils provided to render at least four examples from this one release. Nicely done too! This release also has a free sticker that is an excerpt of the cool cover artwork.

If you weren't happy with the marking options in Monogram's kit, here are six very nice alternatives.
