F-100D/F Ejection Seat

AMS Resin is back with another nice detail set, this time for the 1/48 scale F-100 Super Sabre. Until recently, I'd have said that this is the perfect cockpit enhancement for the Revell-Monogram 1/48 F-100D kit.

If you've been keeping up on hobby news, you've heard rumors of several companies planning to release a 1/48 F-100 series and now the rumors are over. In a few months, Trumpeter is releasing the first installment in their 1/48 Super Sabre series, the F-100C. You can expect the D and F models to follow.

This ejection seat captures the details and offers the shoulder harness and seat belt as well as the O2 hose all integral with this nice seat casting. All you have to do is paint and install this into your favorite Hun kit. For now, this seat will work nicely for the Revell-Monogram kit, but you'll want a few more for the Trumpeter D and F models as well. What about the F-100C? That aircraft had a slightly different seat and I'm sure AMS Resin is already working on a proper seat for this first Trumpeter kit as well.
