Editor's Note: When this review was first written, the Kfir
conversion was producted by TAC Scale Dynamics, but they have
since closed their doors and sold the molds to
Custom Aeronautical Miniatures (CAM). CAM, in turn, was sold to
another company and while they still produce decals, the resin
molds were sold to John's Models. You can now obtain this set by
visiting their website at
www.johnsmodels.com.
The folks at TAC Scale Dynamics have another winner here. Targeted for the
Hasegawa 1/32 F-86F Sabre, this set provides a completely new cockpit.
Take a look!
The set provides a new cockpit tub with detailed side consoles, nicely
detailed ejection seat, instrument panel, control stick, sidewalls and
rear deck. What really caught my eye was the beautifully molded canopy
frame replacement parts. This detail set, together with the two recently-released
Eduard photo-etched detail sets (not included), will yield a breath-taking
1/32 F-86F! With a little work on the wings and miscellaneous details,
you could even backdate the kit to an F-86A or F-86E and maintain air
superiority when TAC Scale Dynamics releases their 1/32 MiG-15. I am
definitely looking forward to this project and recommend it to any Sabre-lover!
