A-1E Skyraider Cockpit Set

Cobra Company has released a complete cockpit for the AD-5/A-1E Skyraider. This set includes a new cockpit deck, forward and aft compartment sidewalls, mid and aft bulkheads, the double instrument panels, instrument panel cowl, and two sets of control sticks and gunsights - 19 pieces altogether. The molding is very sharp, a standard that Cobra Company is well known for. The set is targeted for the Matchbox 1/48 A-1E Skyraider kit. While this kit has been out of production for a while, you can still find copies at reasonable prices on the kit swap tables at your IPMS chapter swap meets, or on websites like eBay.

If you are a Spad lover as I am, you'll need this set, the Matchbox A-1E and Tamiya A-1H kits to build the ultimate Skyraider. I rate this set as a MUST HAVE. Stay tuned as I now have all of the components for the ultimate A-1E, so an article will appear shortly (after I dig out of the other projects on the bench!).
