First Look

Cobra Company has released an interesting conversion in honor of another bad fire season. This set converts your favorite 1/72 UH-1 Iroquois or Bell Model 205/212/412 Huey kit into a firefighting aircraft.

Helicopter Firefighting Tank

The set consists of the belly tank that mounts to the underside of the aircraft, a pair of rail hangers for the rear of the tank, and a pair filler/vent masts.

This set represents a really simple conversion and would be ideal for someone wanting to create a unique model. AMS modelers will like this set too as each tank installation seems to be a little different and you have the opportunity to add a variety of plumbing, wiring and actuators that the full-scale tank uses to interface the tank with the aircraft.

My sincere thanks to Cobra Company for this review sample!
