Cutting Edge has offered a number of interesting options to backdate
or alter the Trumpeter 1/32 P-38J/L into a recce bird. These options
will give modelers even a wider variety of possibilities to work
with using the stock kit as the starting point. But what about
those folks that want to build the P-38J/L? This is the set you've
been waiting for.
Cutting Edge has released a super detailed cockpit for the P-38J/L.
This cockpit is a drop-in replacement for the Trumpeter kit, and
while the kit cockpit wasn't bad, this detail set gives the AMS
modeler more details to work with.
The detail set provides a new cockpit floor/nosegear well, instrument
panel, rudder pedals, rear bulkhead, armor backplate and headrest,
radio tray behind the pilot, sidewalls,
new pilot's seat and frame, rubber-case posable seatbelts/harness,
and all of the other details needed to busy up the office.
The set will dress up the Trumpeter
1/32 P-38 and will give you more reason to leave the cockpit hood
and windows open!
Definitely recommended!
My sincere thanks to Meteor
Productions for this review sample!
