Cutting Edge has developed a replacement set of landing gear for
the Monogram 1/48 B-24D or B-24J kits. These were actually produced
for the Cutting Edge PB4Y Privateer conversion to the Monogram
B-24, but these are also being offered separately to allow you
to "beef up" those styrene legs on your Liberator.
As you no-doubt know, the Monogram B-24 kit builds up into a beautiful
replica of the venerable Liberator, but the weight of the kit can
be hard on the landing gear, especially if your model is making
the contest circuit. This replacement set can be installed in place
of your plastic gear either during construction or later to repair
a gear collapse.
This set includes the two main landing gear, two main landing
gear retraction linkages, nose gear, and nosegear yoke (not pictured
here).
This set is definitely recommended!
