Those Intakes
Cutting Edge has been really stepped up their line of seamless
intakes and this release is one of their latest masterpieces.
Designed
for the Revell 1/48 F/A-18E Super Hornet kit, this set provides
a new set of intakes and ducts as well as new F414 engine compressor
faces. While the engine faces are molded in gray resin, the ducts
are molded in white to save you a step or two as you'd otherwise
have to paint the duct yourself.
You can see from the images of the Revell Super Hornet kit (reviewed
here) that Cutting
Edge has made these intakes literally drop-in replacements for
the kit parts. No muss, no fuss, and no filling, sanding or painting
down those intake ducts.
Conclusions
This is a nice enhancement to any of the Revell 1/48 F/A-18E
Super Hornet kits and will ease your workload if you've been dreading
the prospect of filling and painting inside those intake trunks.
