The Revell/Germany 1/32 Heinkel He 162 Volksjager is a beautiful
kit straight out of the box, and with the exception of the super-detailed
Trimaster offering in 1/48, the Revell kit is the nicest offered
in any scale. I remember when this kit was first announced and
the long anticipation that followed. On opening the box, what was
inside was nice and workable, but leave it to the aftermarket world
to one-up the masters.
Contact Resine has stepped up to the challenge with this beautiful
super detail set. This set consists of 22 resin parts, a photo-etch
fret, and a decal sheet with flight instruments for the photo-etched
panel. Also included is a full-color instruction sheet that should
be the standard that all hobby companies should follow - easy to
read and follow! Nice job Contact Resine!!
This set provides a completely new port side gun bay, a replacement
cockpit with an exquisite ejection seat, and of course a new nosegear
well (part of the cockpit). The set also includes replacement ailerons,
rudders, and elevators. The trim tabs are also provided as photo-etched
parts.
It is hard to believe that you can improve on a nice kit, but
Contact Resine has taken the beautiful Revell/Germany kit and turned
it into a masterpiece.
This detail set is highly recommended! You can purchase this
set online from Design & Marketing
International.
My sincere thanks to Design & Marketing
International for this review sample!
