F9F-2 Wing Tips and Tip Tanks

One of the criticisms of the Trumpeter F9F-2/2P kit has been the undersize of the 120 gallon tip tanks. Lone Star Models is now offering a set of new resin tanks correcting this problem, $13 per set plus $4 P&H. The modeler will have to remove the kits molded on tip tanks and then use the replacement resin wing tips onto which the new, larger tanks are placed, a straightforward and simple conversion. These replacement tip tanks can be ordered directly from Mike West at lsmodels@pdq.net.
