Pavla produces an interesting line of detail sets for a variety
of subjects, each one designed to enhance a particular aspect
of a given kit. In this set, Pavla offers a nice update
for Airfix's 1/48 Canberra PR.9.
This set completely overhauls the spartan cockpit in the kit.
The set starts with a new drop-in cockpit tub the features
the pilots cockpit as well as the navigator's compartment in
the nose. Pavla has another
set available with just the pilot's
cockpit should you want to build your PR.9 closed up, but if
you do want to open up the navigator's compartment, a new entry
hatch is provided so you can pose both cockpits open.
The image above shows the side walls and overhead hatch for
the nose compartment, the two nicely cast ejection seats, replacement
instrument panels, navigator's entry hatch, control yoke, throttles,
other nice detailing to dress up the kit.
