Plus Model has released another interesting
conversion. This set contains resin and photo-etched parts
to convert Tamiya's Sd.Kfz.250/3 kit into the mobile command
post. This set contains a complete new upper hull, new open
rear bay, and features a new interior, complete with radio
sets and antennas. All of the resin parts are free of air bubbles
and are nicely detailed.
From what I can gather from the instructions, about all of
the Tamiya kit you'll use is a portion of the lower chassis
frame, the wheels, track and suspension. The rest of the project
is contained in this set. The front fenders are photo-etched
to provide that extra sense of scale thickness. The upper hull,
and interior fittings are cast in thin tan resin which is easy
to work with.
