Here is the latest figure set from Eduard. As with previous sets in this series, this set provides six figures in 1/48 scale in similar poses as depicted on the box art.

The kit consists of 39 parts on two sprue trees, each figure consisting of six-to-seven parts. The molding is crisp and just waiting for some nice painting to bring these to life.

As depicted on the box art, the commander is shaking hands with a comrade pilot who is wearing his flight gear including parachute. Another figure is standing and pointing at some detail that you will have in your vignette.

Two other individuals are standing about with their checklists or clipbloards, one is reading, the other is taking notes (he must be the political officer). The final figure is standing by as if being inspected by one (or both) of the clipboard bearing officers.

These figures are most welcome as I don't remember ever seeing Soviet fighter pilots depicted in this scale in styrene before. While resin and metal figures are nice to have, these styrene figures are targeted for the modeler who'd rather have a simple set of figures that are inexpensive to pose about his MiG, Ilyushin, or Yak fighter.

If you're looking to bring some life into your trusty 1/48 Il-2 or Yak-9, this is just the figure set to do the job, and for six figures, the price is right.

Definitely recommended!

My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
