Italeri has released an interesting figure set in 54mm (or
1/32 scale) - two French artillery pieces with crews from 1815.
The kit is molded in light yellowish-tan styrene and each of
the figures are nicely cast.
The set contains two parts trees,
one for each gun and crew, but the two trees are identical.
Each gun comes complete with projectiles, powder and five crew
figures per gun.
The prinicpal difference between these parts trees are the guns.
One has a cannon, the other a howitzer.
If you look at all of the parts that are included on each
tree, you'll note that you have enough material for a nice
period vignette. Time to break out the Andrea paints and capture
those colorful uniforms.
If you're a figure modeler or are interested in modeling the
Napoleonic era, this kit will be a nice addition to your scale
army.
My sincere thanks to Testors and
the DLV Company for this review sample!
