Background
FDNY Fire fighter raising the flag over the World Trade Center
ground zero disaster site where 343 of their fellow firefighters
were lost, September 11, 2001. FDNY
firefighters. Hours after the 9/11 attacks, three firefighters George Johnson,
Dan McWilliams and Billy Eisengrein had spontaneously used a U.S. flag taken off
a yacht and raised it in the wreckage of the World Trade Center. A newspaper photographer
Thomas E. Franklin captured the scene, creating a classic image.
The Vignette
Warriors released this kit a few years back and I always wanted
to get it. The vignette comes complete with a base and
three fire fighter figures with separate arms, and helmets. Flagpole
and flag are also included. All parts are molded in light
yellow resin and will require extra care to remove the molding
stubs. No air bubbles was present on any parts in the kit. Detailed
instructions are included.
I purchased my vignette from
Great Models Webstore. Highly Recommended.
