Master Details is back with their next pilot figure, this time representing a typical pre-World War II US Navy or Marine fighter pilot wearing flight coveralls and survival gear typical of per-war operations. This crew figure is posed seated to perch into your favorite model's bucket seat. The figure is wearing the standard kit of seat parachute pack, and leather flying helmet.
Two sets of arms are included, one each grasping stick and throttle, the other set with one hand holding a microphone and the other cupped to do another task of your choosing (including holding the separately microphone).
Six different heads are included in this set, all wearing the leather helmet, but three different styles of helmet, one with the acoustic tube sound, one with a headset worn over the top, and one with integral headset. With each type of helmet, two heads are provided with either goggles up or goggles down. You'll need to chose the right head for your application whether you're posing this in the Monogram F3F, Trumpeter F4F-3, or Special Hobby F2A (or whatever yellow-wing aircraft you're wanting to crew up).
While most modelers tend to pose their aircraft parked, the more advanced modelers are adding nice figures to their models to add a more dynamic element or story to their project. This figure will definitely help to bring your next large aircraft to life!
This figure is available directly from the manufacturer at Master Details' website.
My sincere thanks to Master Details (http://www.masterdetails.com) for this review sample!
