Ammo by Mig Jimenez is family of paints and weathering products designed to take your models to the next step. Master modeler Mig Jimenez helped to launch another paint line by developing and teaching modelers how to make achieve great results with those products. A few years ago, he created his own company and developed a new series of products to tackle areas overlooked by other paint companies.
In this release, they have followed up their 'washable white' with this washable black paint. The washable white is used to paint over the camouflage of a Luftwaffe or Soviet WWII subject, then 'wash' away portions of the paint to reveal the camouflage underneath to replicate the effect of weather wear on the full-scale washable white winter camoflage used on both sides.
This new color follows the same logic though you'd use it for temporary night schemes as well as a variety of weathering effects. You'll find a number of 'how-to' videos online to show you how these washable paints work. These paints can be applied by airbrush or standard brush and each bottle includes a metal ball inside to help mix the colors before application. Given them a try!
My sincere thanks to Ammo by Mig Jimenez for this review samples!
