Ammo by Mig Jimenez is family of paints and weathering products designed to take your models to the next step. Master modeler Mig Jimenez helped to launch another paint line by developing and teaching modelers how to make achieve great results with those products. A few years ago, he created his own company and developed a new series of products to tackle areas overlooked by other paint companies.
In this release, they have created the pallete of colors used by the Luftwaffe tactical aircraft between 1939 and 1941. This set consists of four 17ml bottles of acrylic paints which include:
- A.MIG-217 RLM 02 Grau
- A.MIG-231 RLM 65 Hellblau
- A.MIG-232 RLM 70 Schwarzgrau
- A.MIG-233 RLM 71 Dungelgruen
If you're building an early Luftwaffe subject, especially one that flew in the Battle of Britain, these colors will provide the standard camouflage colors carried by the Germans at that time. This handy set will also be useful in later subject when supplemented by some of the later RLM colors that were introduced to revised camouflage schemes and will not doubt be released by Ammo in the near future.
These paints can be applied by airbrush or standard brush and each bottle includes a metal ball inside to help mix the colors before application. Given them a try!
My sincere thanks to Ammo by Mig Jimenez for this review samples!
