Ammo by Mig Jimenez is family of paints and weathering products designed to take your models to the next step. Master modeler Mig Jimenez helped to launch another paint line by developing and teaching modelers how to make achieve great results with those products. A few years ago, he created his own company and developed a new series of products to tackle areas overlooked by other paint companies.
In this release, they have bundled an interesting combination of products to effectively weather German armor and vehicles that were operated on the Russian terrain starting in the Ukraine and extending eastward. While some of the products are relevant to any vehicles operated in that region, these colors are tailored for German vehicles whose base color was German Dark Yellow which was the standard color when it was selected to replace Panzer Gray in 1943.
This set consists of five 35ml bottles which include:
- MIG 1751 - Dry Steppe (Mud and Spashes)
- MIG 1000 - Brown Wash for German Dark Yellow (Wash)
- MIG 3007 - Dark Earth (Pigment)
- MIG 1203 - Straking Grime (Streaking)
- MIG 1510 - Tan for 3 Tone Camo (Filter)
These products are intented to compliment their background colors as well as overlay the dust and dirt colors common in that region. Grab a set for your next Eastern Front project!
My sincere thanks to Ammo by Mig Jimenez for this review samples!
