The folks at White Ensign Models haven't been resting. They've
expanded their line of Imperial Japanese Army/Imperial Japanese
Naval Aircraft Colours. Recognize the aotake blue metallic color
on the left?
If you look at the colors on the top of these tins, you're looking
at quite a few colors that haven't been available from any manufacturer
prior to this. The current colors in
the range include:
- ACJ01 - IJNAF Green
- ACJ02 - IJNAF Gray
- ACJ03 - Nakajima Navy Green
- ACJ04 - Nakajima Interior Gray-Green
- ACJ05 - Nakajima Army Green
- ACJ06 - Mitsubishi Navy Green
- ACJ07 - Mitsubishi Navy Gray
- ACJ08 - Mitsubishi Cowl Blue-Black
- ACJ09 - Kawasaki Army Green
- ACJ10 - Kawanishi Green
- ACJ11 - Overall Light Gray
- ACJ12 - Undersurface Gray-Green
- ACJ13 - Red-Brown Primer
- ACJ14 - Earth Brown
- ACJ15 - Aotake
- ACJ16 - Mitsubishi Zero Gray-Green
- ACJ17 - Nakajima Amber Gray
- ACJ18 - Mitsubishi Interior Green
- ACJ19 - Wing ID Strip Yellow
This paint line is packaged in the same familiar tins that are
also used by Humbrol and XtraColor which also provide excellent
shelf life. The paints themselves are formulated with work with
any standard enamal thinner.
You can purchase any of these Colourcoats line directly from the White
Ensign Models website (www.whiteensignmodels.com). My sincere thanks
to John Snyder at WEM for these review samples.
