Aero Research has released their latest photo reference CD,
this covering a second increment of warbirds from a wide range
of dates. Like Part 1, this title has a very interesting selection
of aircraft!
Once again I used my image browser to scan through the
aircraft on the disc and I was quite impressed with the selection
of aircraft. In this release, there are an impressive number of
aircraft that I don't believe are still flying today. When you
see the subjects, you'll be amazed at the variety of warbirds that
were around a few decades ago. These include one or more of:
- A-3 Skywarrior
- A-4 Skyhawk
- A-26 Invader
- AF-2 Guardian
- B-17 Flying Fortress
- B-18 Bolo
- B-23 Dragon
- B-24 Liberator
- B-29 Superfortress
- B-47 Stratojet
- BT-13
- C-82 Packet
- C-97 Stratofreighter
- C-119 Flying Boxcar
- C-123 Provider
- C-133 Cargomaster
- DHC-1
- F2G Corsair
- F6F Hellcat
- F7F Tigercat
- F8F Bearcat
- F-15 Reporter
- F-102 Delta Dart
- Fi 156 Storch
- FM-2 Wildcat
- L-29 Delphin
- L-39 Albatross
- Mosquito
- O-1 Birddog
- O-2 Skymaster
- P-2 Neptune
- P-39 Airacobra
- P-40 Warhawk
- P-51 Mustang
- P-63 King Cobra
- PB4Y Privateer
- PBY Catalina
- SBD Dauntless
- T-6 Texan
- T-28 Trojan
- T-34 Mentor
- Vampire
- Venom
- and more!
For the modeler, you'll see lots of good details and color information
for replicating warbirds for a change of pace. For the enthusiast
and modeler alike, you can browse through a nice variety of high-resolution
images of some very nice aircraft!
According to the publisher, the next release will be USN/USMC
Collection Part 2.
This is a nice selection of imagery that you won't find available
in such clarity and size. This title is recommended!
You can purchase this reference or any of their other photo
CDs directly from this publisher via email
(AeroResearch@Charter.net) or calling them at 775.746.8615. They gladly accept Visa, Mastercard,
and Discover.
My sincere thanks to Aero Research for this review sample!
