Here is a VERY handy reference for the AMS modeler who likes the
FMC M113 family of tracked vehicles. This is a combination of the
CARC camouflage schemes, Technical Manual excerpts of more relevant
vehicle assemblies, and a number of color photos of the M113 family.
You can see in these page examples that the AMS modeler can get down
into the bolt and washer detail for many of the vehicle's details.
The paint schemes are THE reference used by the Army and cover
most of the M113 family. This alone is worth the price of admission.
The publisher had produced a hardcopy version of this title, but
has started focusing on all-electronic releases for some of their
subsequent titles. I'd like to see two things from Dataview:
1. In the all-electronic version of this title, provide all of
the maintenance diagrams for the family and let the modeler select
those needed for his/her project; and,
2. Publish the entire CARC manual electronically.
Whether you're wanting to superdetail one of the fine kits from
Tamiya, Academy, AFV Club, etc., in 1/35th scale, or have a field
day with the 21st Century Toys 1/18th scale M113, this is THE manual
for getting all of those details right. While this is an excerpt
of the maintenance manuals, there are still almost 160 pages of
nothing but diagrams to choose from!

This title is available in electronically in Adobe Acrobat(tm)
format. You can purchase the CD for $9.99 or download it directly
from the publisher for only $1.99.
This title is available directly from the publisher at Dataview
Publications (www.dataviewbooks.com).
